Tomato ketchup is used almost everyday in today’s lifestyle, with bread, snacks, pakode, multi cuisines etc. But have you ever wondered, it would be much nutritious, fresh and healthy if we make it at home.
So, today I am going to share with you the recipe of HOME MADE TOMATO KETCHUP
HOME MADE TOMATO KETCHUP
- 1 ½ kgs Tomatoes
- 1 tsps chilli powder
- 1 ½ cups Sugar
- 1 tsp. garam masala
- 2 tsps chopped Ginger
- 4 cloves Garlic
- ¾ tsp Vinegar (Sirka)
- 2 tsps Salt
- 1/4 tsps sodium benzoate
Chop the tomatoes, garlic and ginger and put in a non-stick pan and cook on a low fire till it becomes thick.
Pass through a sieve.
Add vinegar, salt, garam masala, sugar and chilli powder and cook until thick.
Add sodium benzoate mixed in 1/4 cup boiling water.
Pour the ketchup in bottles. Use after one week.
