Shrikhand is one of my favourite yogurt dishes. Almost we have a simple version of it, in which only yogurt acts as main ingredient but today I am going to share the recipe of AMRAKHAND, in which there are 2 main ingredients : yogurt and mangoes.
So let’s quickly start with the recipe of AMRAKHAND.
AMRAKHAND ( MANGO SHRIKHAND / AAM KA SHRIKHAND)
1 cup mango pulp.
- 2 cups thic yogurt (Hanged for 3-4 hours in muslin cloth).
- Sugar to taste.
- Few strands of saffron ( Soaked in 1 tsp. milk)
- 1/4 cup vertically chopped pista, cashew and almonds.
- 7-8 Raisins (Kishmish)
- 1/4 tsp. Cardomom Powder.
- 7-8 mango slices (Cut each slice to make 2 parts)
- 2-3 drops rose water.
Take yogurt into a bowl. Add sugar and beat to mix them.
Add mango pulp, cardamom powder, saffron, half of crushed nuts, raisins and rose water and mix them well with the help of spoon.
Pour it into a serving bowl and top with remaining crushed nuts and mango slices.
Chill for an hour before serving.

TIPS WHILE MAKING AMRAKHAND
Do not use normal yogurt, otherwise you will end up making mango lassi instead of mango shrikhand :)
